Section 7: Valorisation of the Roadmap

The aim of the valorisation WP is to disseminate the results of the project, as well as to guarantee further exploitation of the transferred tool (the Roadmap) in inclusion development processes of VET colleges in Europe.

It is expected that continuous valorisation activities during the project (e.g. participation of relevant stakeholder groups in the development work of the tool, continuous contacts with the European Agency for Development of Special Need Education and its national representatives etc.) will contribute to the ownership of VET colleges and educational authorities of the transferred tool.

The final outcome of the project, "A Roadmap to Inclusion of students with SEN for professionals in VET learning environments", will consist of the following components: indicators per dimension (policy, culture, practices) and an introduction to each of the dimensions; a report on the piloting experience in Estonia and other three partner countries; and a commentary by one of the external evaluators.

The valorisation WP started with finalizing the valorisation plan in October/November 2011. During the project, the WP leader continuously updates the European Agency for Development of Special Needs Education (http://www.european-agency.org/) on the progress of the project, as well as members of the extended project steering group. The steering group is kept informed on the development work of the project in order to continuously gather opinions from and disseminate information to relevant stakeholder groups. In addition, all partners will be responsible to inform the national representatives of the Agency.

The transfer process of the tool uses participative methods. When developing the indicators, the work is done in close cooperation with universities and VET colleges. The draft indicator lists are piloted in several occasions during the process, and the completed tool will go through a pilot in which other stakeholder groups (educational authorities, working life representatives and students) will have an opportunity to comment the usability and relevance of the tool as well. In addition, each project workshop has open sessions to stakeholder groups. It is expected that this method guarantees the ownership of the tool within the main target group of the project – the VET college management, teaching and administrative staff – and supports the dissemination activities after the project is completed.

The final project meeting will take place in Brno in September 2013. In this meeting, the final version of the Roadmap is approved and introduced to the Czech stakeholders in the national dissemination seminar where all partner organizations will exceptionally participate. In other national dissemination seminars, only the organisations and stakeholders from the country in question will participate. These seminars will be organized in early September 2013.

In the final project meeting in Brno, an action plan for active TILE network cooperation will be prepared. The network will focus on how to use the Roadmap as a tool in inclusion development processes within European VET learning environments.

The project website has been created at the beginning of the project. The main project outcome - the Roadmap - will be finalised and translated into four national languages.

The working days are allocated as follows: JAMK 26; Northampton 27; Masaryk 23; Uni Tartu 14; KVI 6; OCVC 6; F.C. Roosevelta 6 and Tartu VEC 6.

Upcoming workshops: Tarto 4-7 February 2013 and National dissemination seminars in each partner country /autumn 2013.
